OREANDA-NEWS. Finland’s Olvi Oyj plans to invest 5 million euros in production development at OJSC Lidskoe Pivo brewery, Lidskoe Pivo CEO Audrius Miksys told reporters.

A decision has been made that Olvi will be investing around 5 million euros annually to support production upgrade and logistic development at at OJSC Lidskoe Pivo, Miksys informed.

In 2013 Olvi’s funds will go to finance the expansion of the brewery’s lager section with six tanks, the arrangement of a new artesian well and the purchase of a 3.5mW accessory compressor.

According to Miksys, Lidskoe Pivo finalized a large-scale investment project last year and plans to take a break for a few years. “If the market situation remains favourable in a stable economic environment, we plan to start expanding the brewery’s production capacity in 2015,” Miksys informed.

Belarus’ OJSC Lidskoe Pivo, based in the Grodno Region, was established in 1876.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj controls 91.58% in Lidskoe Pivo.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers.
