OREANDA-NEWS. JSC “E4 Group” has successfully accomplished reliability run and output certification tests at the power unit, thus enabling JSC “FORTUM” to proceed with industrial operation, to launch commercial operation thereof and to sell power capacities as per the Power Supply Agreement (DPM) from April 01, 2013.

Starting this year, E4 Group carried out a package of the commissioning works and performed the final tests, which were necessary to make the power unit ready for start-up. Joint cooperation between the Customer, EPC-contractor and subcontractors resulted in completing reliability run of the generating equipment successfully, during which the Unit had been operating under rated load for 72 hours.

“Nyaganskaya District Plant (GRES) is the biggest project as related to a “green field” construction of heat power plants in Russia, and considering its scale it is the most significant facility of the Fortum investment program in Russia. The certified power output of a new power plant is over 420 MW, and it is the most efficient in the Tyumen Energy System. Power factor of over 57 per cents will ensure a big demand in electric power generated by it”, - said Alexander Chuvaev, Head of the “Russia” Division, Fortum Corporation.

“Construction of a unique facility is carried out in severe environmental and climatic conditions, but owning to a team work of all the project participants, Unit 1 has been put into operation”, - said Andrey Malyshev, President, E4 Group.
