Sberbank CIB’s leading role in three of the most significant ECM and M&A transactions from the past year has been recognized as part of EMEA Finance magazine’s annual Achievement Awards, which highlight the year’s best bank and capital markets deals. The following deals earned top recognition in the ECM and M&A categories:

Best IPO in EMEA: MegaFon IPO was recognized as the Best IPO in the EMEA region. Sberbank CIB acted as Joint Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunner for the transaction, which was the second largest IPO in the EMEA region in 2012. It is also the largest IPO out of Russia and the CIS since January 2010, as well as the first in Russia’s telecom sector in over a decade.

Best Follow-on Financing in EMEA Region: Sberbank received the award for Best Follow-on Financing in the EMEA region for its USD5.2 bln secondary public offering on the London and Moscow exchanges. Sberbank CIB (known then as Troika Dialog) acted as Joint Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunner on the transaction. Sberbank SPO became the largest SPO privatization deal in Russia, as well as the largest secondary placement in EMEA in 2011–2012 and one of the largest public offerings in 2012 globally.

Best Financial Institution M&A deal: Sberbank’s purchase of DenizBank in June 2012 was named Best Financial Institution M&A Deal. Sberbank CIB advised Sberbank on the \\$3.8 bln deal. The deal was the largest in Turkey in 2012.
