OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2013. This was stated by Acting Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta at a working sitting of officials of the Finance Ministry chaired by Vladimir Filat. According to Veaceslav Negruta, the State Fiscal Service made a biggest contribution to the growth in the revenues.

Fiscal receipts grew 16,8% (200 mln. leis). Daily average receipts increased 32% from 51 mln. leis in 2012 to 67.3 mln. leis в 2013. Deputy Director of the State Fiscal Service Adrian Timotin reported on measures that helped to raise the receipts and said that the growth may be explained by fiscal amendments that came into effect on January, 1, 2013. Measures against contraband and phony companies were also fruitful. By the end of 2013 fiscal receipts may increase by 17% approximately, Adrian Timotin said.

Director General of the Customs Service of Moldova Tudor Balitchi reported on measures taken by his department to collect duties and noted that there had been no considerable changes in this respect during the first months of 2013. According to Acting Premier of Moldova bodies collecting taxes and duties undertake a very important mission, namely ensure efficient fiscal administration for receipts to the state budget to cover raises in pensions and wages and enhancement of national infrastructure.

He called on leaders of fiscal bodies to mobilize their subordinates for implementation of new projects, such as electronic fiscal administration and application of indirect methods of taxation. Vladimir Filat stressed that the work of these agencies can not be conditional on political instability in the country. Participants of the sitting discussed revenues of the state budget, fiscal administration after amendments to the fiscal law that came into effect at the beginning of this year, distribution of tax invoices, an order of submission of tax statements and others.

Officials considered an opportunity of unsealing accounts of agricultural companies for the spring sewing campaign, solutions to prevent queues in fiscal offices, a necessity to institutionalize bodies in charge of prevention of and fight against tax evasion.
