OREANDA-NEWS. i-Free has sponsored the Mobilefest festival and conference, which drew mobile internet professionals and app developers from Russia and the rest of the CIS. In addition to sponsorship, i-Free held a lottery for Mobilefest participants this year, awarding a mini i-Pad and free attendance certificates for a few other major industry conventions as prizes.

Held at Yakhroma sports and amusement park near Moscow, Mobilefest’2013 was attended by over 300 mobile application professionals: developers, designers, project managers, marketers, producers and publishers.

The conference featured presentations on behalf of Google, Microsoft, Yandex, BlackBerry, ABBYY, i-Free, Tinkoff  Digital, Nordic Agency AB, iD EAST, and some other companies. The participants discussed the most relevant and pressing matters confronting the industry: the future of mobile technology, application marketing, app creation for key accounts, gamification, and mobile project investments.

i-Free contributed meaningfully to Mobilefest’2013. Ivan Soloviov, Director of Business Development at i-Free Asia, spoke at the roundtable on mobile app pre-installations for smartphones, joining the speakers for Microsoft, uBank, ivi.ru, and inTaxi. Ivan discussed previous case studies of mobile apps and games built into smartphones, highlighting certain points developers are well advised to heed.

Anastasia Lazibnaya, Head of Strategic Development at i-Free Ventures, contributed to the roundtable on Mobile Project Investments. Anastasia was also on the jury of Hackaphone, where she helped to select projects eligible for awards.

i-Free held a lottery for Mobilefest participants, awarding a mini iPad and free attendance certificates for some major industry conventions: AINL “Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language” (17-18 May 2013), Mobilefest (September 2013) and Mobile VAS & Applications Conference (21-22 November 2013).

The top prize, a mini iPad, went to Madina Yunusova of Starforce. She also received a free attendance certificate for a convention of her choice. Free convention attendance certificates were also handed to Andrei Kiselev of BlackBerry and Aleksander Zagumenov of Krivorukoff LLP.

“We are pleased with the conference,” said Ekaterina Ivanova, who heads i-Free Events. “It is definitely one of those events which will make our spring this year. Once again, Mobilefest welcomed some of the best talent and most promising startups from many parts of Russia. Along with sharing ideas and debating the current trends of the mobile gaming industry, they forged new business ties, and they kicked back and mingled in an informal setting.”
