OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2013. New IBC Committee on Intellectual Property was established. It was initiated by IBC Member “ARTE” Law Firm whose Director Saodat Shakirova was elected as the Chairman of the Committee. Its goal is to form and develop intellectual potential of domestic business and increase competitiveness of Kyrgyz economics. 

“Today business comes up against intellectual property management and protection issues, since every company has its name and trade mark, and some companies create their art works, inventions, and industrial designs,” Shakirova said.

Six IBC members participated in the meeting: APTE Law Firm, GRATA Law Firm, Kalikova& Associates Law Firm, Baker Tilly Audit Firm, Kyrgyzstan Insurance Company, and “Soyuztextile” Association of Kyrgyzstan’s textile enterprises. Kyrgyzpatent (Intellectual Property Office of Kyrgyzstan) officials also joined the discussion.

In the end it was decided to send out the Committee Regulation and work plan to all its members.
