OREANDA-NEWS. Two vacuum compressor stations have come on-stream at Gazpromneft Noyabrskneftegaz's Vyngapurovskoye field, bringing associated gas utilization rate at Vyngapurovskoye field up to 96 percent. The overall level of associated gas utilization across the company has likewise exceeded 90 percent.

The vacuum compressor stations have made it possible to begin utilizing low-pressure gas, thus enabling the shipping of crude oil to refineries. Completion and launching of the new compressor stations marked the end of the first phase of Gazprom Neft's project to raise the level of associated gas utilization in the Vyngapurovskaya field group in the Noyabrsk area. As part of the project, 111 kilometers of pipelines were renovated or built, as well as four vacuum compressor stations: two at Vyngapurovskoye field and one each at Vyngayakhinskoye and Yety-Purovskoye fields (operated by Gazpromneft Muravlenko).

Cooperation with SIBUR made it possible to increase the level of associated gas utilization. SIBUR has expanded the capacity of a compressor station that already existed in the region by turning it into a new enterprise, the Vyngapurovsky Gas Processing Plant, with a capacity of over 2.4 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The development of both companies' infrastructure has allowed them to ship an additional 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

In total, the Noyabrsk integrated project covers five Gazprom Neft fields, including Vyngapurovskoye, Novogodneye, Yety-Purovskoye, Vyngayakhinskoye, and Yarainerskoye.

"This project has given us new possibilities to utilize more associated gas. We will continue looking for ways of further increasing the level of associated gas utilization, trying to reduce the environmental impact as much as possible, and thereby improving environmental conditions in the region," emphasized Gazpromneft Noyabrskneftegaz CEO Pavel Kryukov .
