OREANDA-NEWS. This task, included in the main installation phase of the plant construction, will be performed by a subsidiary of the Holding TITAN-2, OJSC MSU-90.

Two high-pressure heaters PVD K-5 and and two PVD K-6 have already been delivered to the construction site of power unit 1 of the Leningrad NPP-2 and the construction staff of OJSC MSU-90 already began preparing the equipment for installation.

The first installation task will be rigging the high-pressure heaters – the devices which are over 9 long and weighing 100 and 138 tons will first be raised to 16 meters mark of the turbine hall and then installed at their designed place, at the mark of 0.00.

High-pressure heaters are designed to heat feed water and are a part of auxiliary equipment of the turbine building. The equipment is installed by OJSC MSU-90 as part of the main construction works at the construction site of the second Leningrad NPP.

TITAN-2 is one of the contractors involved in construction and installation works at the power units 1 and 2 of the Leningrad NPP-2. The company performs over 30% of all general construction and 80% of installation works. 145 construction sites are simultaneously underway at the new site of Leningrad NPP. The holding's own specialists are involved at 42 sites of the 1st and 2nd power units of LNPP-2. The works involve operations with the reactor hall, turbine, power supply, water supply and other facilities of the power units. In total, the project of new LNPP-2 comprises 270 main and auxiliary facilities.
