OREANDA-NEWS.  Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ, OJSC) Company, member of Power Machines Group, has manufactured and successfully tested the first 36 MW steam turbine for combined cycle power plants (CCPP) being built at Kazanskaya TPP-2.

A contract to supply the power equipment was signed with Management Company IED-Holding, LLC (Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan) in 2011. Under the terms of the contract Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC is to design, manufacture and supply two T-26/36-7.5/0.12 turbines each having a capacity of 36 MW and also to supply two turbogenerators produced by Electrotyazhmash–Privod LLC (located in the town of Lysva, Perm Region). The scope of responsibilities of KTZ OJSC includes installation supervision and commissioning works.

The first steam turbine has been tested at the factory test bench in the presence of the Client's representative. Production facilities of KTZ OJSC continue to manufacture assemblies of the second machine.
