In May 2013 a joint Russian and international experts committee conducted an audit on conformance of passenger and baggage handling quality management system to ISO 9001:2008 standards in Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Domodedovo passenger terminal underwent such certification in 2003. Airport handling services obtained relevant certificate in 2012. Valid for three years, this document is to be confirmed by yearly audit.

Conducted audit confirmed that Domodedovo handling services meet ISO 9001:2008 standards. Airport services take into account world best practices, meet current demands of clients and develop in accordance to prognoses and prospects.

The standard is produced by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which members represent practically all countries in the world. ISO 9001:2008 certification speaks for high service level of airport and obliges it to improve constantly service quality.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport — is the largest one of Russia, in 2012 the airport served 28,2 million people. It joins the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the Airports Council International (ACI) and on results of 2012 became one of three European airports with the highest dynamic development. Since 2009 it is ranked as the best airport in Eastern Europe by Skytrax. Domodedovo is chosen for flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances — Star Alliance and oneworld.
