OREANDA-NEWS. Bus wholesales fell 18.8% year on year to 16.4 thousand vehicles in January-April 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Sales of domestic-branded buses were down 15.9% to 10.5 thousand units; however, their market share expanded to 63.9% from 61.7% a year earlier, thus confirming this segment’s dominance on the bus market. Sales of foreign-branded buses assembled in Russia were up 1.6 times to 3.8 thousand units to expand their market share two-fold to 23.2%. New imports reduced two-fold to 2.0 thousand buses, and their market share lost 7 points to make 12.4%. Used imports contracted drastically, 17-fold to only 84 buses, and their market share squeezed to 0.5% from 7.2% in January-April 2012.
