OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2013. China saw its output of natural gas increase 12.7% year on year to 9.6 billion cubic meters in April this year, said the National Development and Reform Commission in a statement published on its website.

In the first four months, the country produced 40.2 billion cu m of natural gas, 7.7% more than in the same period of last year.
 
In April, China's natural gas imports rose 18.6% year on year to 3.9 billion cu m, taking its total imports in the first four months to 17.1 billion cu m, 32.3% more than in the corresponding period of last year and accounting for 30.1% of the country's total consumption.

The apparent consumption of natural gas amounted to 56.8 billion cu m from January to April, up 13.2% year on year. It rose 12.5% year on year to 12.8 cu m in April.
