Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that the cooperation negotiation process with its employee representatives have concluded in Finland, at the end of a meeting held on June 4, 2013. As an outcome of the negotiations, a new organisation model, principles for the staffing-process have been discussed and concluded, along with the action plan for its implementation.

The final number of impacted positions will be known after a period of 8-10 weeks once the new organisation structure is staffed and implemented and all possible redeployment opportunities across TCS have been fully explored.

A comprehensive support structure for helping potentially affected employees has also been discussed and concluded, which includes options for out-placement services, severance packages and counselling.

During this transition period, TCS will provide all support and assistance to help employees to plan for their future.” said Ruchikar Dalela, country-head, Finland.

TCS began cooperation negotiations in Finland, on April 23, 2013, as part of a process to streamline its operations in the business unit and harmonise them with its established global model. A maximum of 290 positions may be impacted.
