OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2013. Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry, Elena Tsyshevskaya, made a presentation at the III Annual Conference “Energy Supplying in Russia”, organized with support of a Non-Commercial Partnership of the Providers of Last Resort and Energy Suppliers, the Council of Energy Producers, and the Energy Forecasting Agency.

The Conference on “Energy Supplying in Russia” brings together the largest representatives of Russia’s energy sectors to discuss the main problems of the energy supply market and to resolve the issues of regulating and functioning of energy suppliers.

The presentation focused on the pressing issues of antimonopoly regulation and control on the market of electric power. Elena Tsyshevskaya discussed the most widespread violations of the antimonopoly law in the electric power industry, as well as the latest changes in antimonopoly regulation of the market. She paid special attention to improving regulation of natural monopolies.

“Participants of the Round Table supported the legislative initiative of FAS Russia, aimed at making energy suppliers equal with providers of last resort when entering the wholesale market of electric power and capacity in the part of registering a single group of delivery points”, stated Elena Tsyshevskaya.
