The company shareholders approved the new name and statutes for the Company that unifies the reserve power plant in Elektr?nai, the Kruonis Pumped Storage Plant and the Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant during a general meeting of shareholders at the end of July. These changes are being implemented in accordance with the new management model that is being formed for the group of energy companies.

"The Company's new name is completely in line with its mission - to be the national electricity producer and operate efficiently within the integrated European electricity market. The new name will not change the company's activities at all. We will continue to supply reliable, efficient and diversified energy solutions to meet the needs of our current and future customers, and contribute to ensuring energy security," says acting CEO of "Lietuvos energijos gamyba", AB Juozas Bartlingas.

In maintaining stable operations, it has been decided to preserve the value of the brand that has been used thus far. The updated "Lietuvos energijos gamyba", AB logo is similar to the one used previously by the Company, only the word “gamyba” (“production”) has been added to emphasize that it is a company that carries out energy production and supply.

These minor changes to the logo will also help accent the connection "Lietuvos energijos gamyba", AB has with the parent company. The name and logo previously used by the Company will be transferred to UAB "Visagino atomine elektrine", which controls the group that the electricity production, distribution and service companies belong to. Information about its name change will be issued separately.
