OREANDA-NEWS. The State Grain Fund under the Agency for Material Reserves of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has reduced sharply purchasing prices for high quality wheat produced in the country.

The MES reports that since 12 August wheat of local production will be acquired for the Fund at the price of 220 manats per ton. Purchases are carried out by companies as follows: elevators Sangachal and Ganja, Abюeron Taxэl, Dəvəзi-Dəyirman, Karat-Holdinq, Karmen, FATOРLU, Bakэ-Taxэl, Araz, Aveta.

For comparison, from 6 July to 1 September 2012 wheat of local production was acquired for the Fund at the price of 230 manat per ton, then the purchase price was increased up to 320 manat per ton. Now procurement prices was reduced to the lowest mark in the history of the Fund.

In 2011 grain for the Fund was also bought at price of 230 manat. In 2012 the Fund’s size is restricted with 500,000 tons of grain.
