OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2013. In H1 2013 Krasnodar emerged as the Bank’s biggest regional lender to small business. Over a three-year period (2010-2013), Uniastrum’s share of the Krasnodar region’s SB loan market grew more than 6-fold

As of July 1, 2013, the Krasnodar branch’s small business credit portfolio weighed in at Rb 1.2 bn. Meantime, retail activities continued to improve: consumer credit and deposit portfolios expanded 70% and 40%, respectively, on the year-earlier performance.

“Economically, the region is dominated by agribusiness, trade and the service sector,” notes Elena Prostyakova, head of Uniastrum’s Krasnodar branch, commenting on the region’s business development patterns. “The coast, transport infrastructure, raw materials and agriculture are the main draw as far as businesses are concerned, and infrastructure development will continue to promote the growth of small enterprises in the Krasnodar region going forward.”

“Despite facing stiff competition on the Kuban region’s banking market, Uniastrum’s Krasnodar branch commands solid positions in all priority business segments and has gained a reputation for being a sound and dependable partner. Thanks to its diverse product lines, high quality customer service and professional staff, today the branch enjoys banking relationships with over 10,000 local residents,” says Alexander Orekhov, head of Uniastrum’s Network Sales Division.
