OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2013. Ukraine planes to increase volumes of foreign trade in agrarian products with the Islamic Republic of Iran in five times. In particular, turnover will be increased in the grain and oilseed sectors. This was started by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk during a meeting with Iranian journalists.

Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted that soon foreign trade in agricultural products between Ukraine and Iran could grow in 3-5 times. So, today Iran is on the 13th place among the import countries of Ukrainian agricultural products. However, it could be on the 7th place.

In turn Iranian journalists have expressed strong interest in the issue of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Iran in the field of agriculture and noted its mutual benefit.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi thanked the Minister for taking part in the meeting and stressed the importance of the media in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
