OREANDA-NEWS. Virtuoso®, the luxury travel agency network renowned for creating exceptional experiences, at its seventh annual Best of the Best Hotel Awards has conferred Banjaar Tola, a Taj Safari lodge in Kanha, Madhya Pradesh, with the prestigious award for the Most Innovative Guest Experience. Winners were announced at the Hotels & Resorts dinner on August 14th, which took place during the 25th Annual Virtuoso Travel Week at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

While the editors of VIRTUOSO LIFE magazine, the network's award-winning publication, combed through hundreds of options to determine the nominees, it is Virtuoso's travel advisors who ultimately decide the winners in each category.

Rightly earning its place amongst the four other renowned world hotel nominees, Banjaar Tola by Taj Safaris is the only Indian nomination to have been recognised as a hotel that continually raises the bar by featuring clever and meaningful guest experiences that move the industry forward.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepa Misra Harris, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Taj Group of Hotels, said, “The Most Innovative Guest Experience Award is a true honour because it has resonated with some of the most valued professionals in the industry - Virtuoso's travel advisors - which shows us that we are clearly on the right path to serve and delight our guests. It's an acknowledgement we hold high. With this award, Taj Safaris has reaffirmed its reputation for excellence in providing its guests with innovative and memorable experiences.”

Banjaar Tola, the third jungle safari lodge from Taj Safaris, India's first luxury wildlife circuit is situated along the banks of the Banjaar River, directly overlooking the heart of Kanha National Park. The luxurious, yet lightweight, ensuite tents have been designed in a contemporary style, with pressed bamboo wall panels, gorgeous bamboo floors and locally crafted furniture hewn from the timber of exotic Indian trees. The textiles have been designed in tones of delicate saffron and acid-washed green, with rich block-printed Madhya Pradesh cottons and silks. The atmosphere is light, ethereal and organic.

The lodge boasts two elegant camps of nine suites, each with its own intimate tented sitting area. Banjaar Tola has its own unique identity, celebrating the Bastar and Dogra art that hails from nearby Chattisgarh.
