OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2013. An amount of building and assembly works made up MDL 1 billion 885.5 million in Moldova in the first half-year of 2013, 0.1% down as compared with the same period of 2012. According to the National Bureau o Statistics, most of the works were fulfilled by economic agents of private form of ownership.

They amounted to MDL 1 billion 498.1 million, 79.4% of a total volume of the works and 1.1% up as compared with January-June, 2012. The structure of building and assembly works included the dominant share of new constructions, which made up MDL 1 billion 138 million, 8.8% up as compared with the same period of 2012.

Their share in the total amount of the works fulfilled made up 60.4%. Overhaul and maintenance works made 36% of a total volume of building works of this period making MDL 257.1 million and 433.7 million and decreasing 19.4% and 9.7% respectively. Assembly and building works grew 6.7% to MDL 427.5 million in non-residential buildings.

The volume of works fulfilled grew 3.1% to MDL 658.4 million in residential buildings and decreased 7.8% to MDL 270.1 million in engineering structures.
