Construction of Pedestrian Bridges in Sochi Olympic Park Completed
OREANDA-NEWS. The construction of five pedestrian bridges that will let through the main flow of guests to the ice palaces of the Olympic Park during the 2014 Games has entered the home stretch.
Supports and steel structures of passages are ready, handrails and a lighting system are mounted, and roadbed construction is almost completed.
Finish coating layer is rubber granulate made from waste tire casings. The special plant converts old tires into universal construction material now used to build artificial football pitches, run tracks and tennis courts. Such manufacturing is the key regulator in the process of waste collection and disposal in the transportation industry, while the use of rubber granulate in the road building industry is an example of "green" construction.
