OREANDA-NEWS. Fujitsu, a leading provider of business, information technology, and communications solutions, today announced that their participation at Next Generation Optical Networking USA and SDN/NFV USA which will be co-located at the Hilton Doubletree in Dallas, Texas on Oct 8-9, 2013.

Speaking Sessions:
Tuesday October 8, 2013 at 4:15pm CT: Mike Sabelhaus, Principal Product Planner at Fujitsu Network Communications will examine the optical technology enablers for the future delivery of the 100G network, and driver for metro 100G, key applications, upcoming 100G technology evolutions and migration to larger rates.

Wednesday, October 9 at 10:30am CT: Dave Jameson, Principal Solutions Architect, will present on SDN and “Making Carrier Networks Programmable using RESTful APIs”. This session will address the need for technology abstraction in SDNs and where RESTful APIs fit in an SDN architecture.

Fujitsu, a leader in high-speed photonic research and 100 Gbps optical components is enabling carriers to deploy 100 Gbps optical interfaces over their legacy FLASHWAVE 7500 and new FLASHWAVE 9500 networks. Since carriers continue to use 10 Gbps wavelengths and services, Fujitsu WDM platforms allow mixed operation of 10, 40, and 100 Gbps optical transport over the same network, ensuring seamless, cost-efficient growth as higher speed optical interfaces are introduced.
