OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2013. At the end of 2012, German rail operator Deutsche Bahn filed claims against ThyssenKrupp and other companies in connection with the so-called rail cartel.

In this connection discussions have been ongoing with Deutsche Bahn for some time concerning damages and a settlement. The negotiations have now been concluded: ThyssenKrupp and Deutsche Bahn reached an agreement in principle in mid-November. For both parties the settlement is subject to approval by the responsible bodies. It may therefore still be a few weeks before the agreement comes into force. Details of the agreement are confidential. However, ThyssenKrupp assumes that there will be no further costs on top of the provisions already recognized.
