OREANDA-NEWS. The Board of Directors of Gazpromneft-Vostok has appointed Viktor Misnik as the company's CEO.

Viktor Misnik was born in 1961. He holds a degree from the Tyumen Industrial Institute in “Oil and Gas Production Equipment and Machinery.”

Prior to his appointment as Gazpromneft-Vostok CEO, Viktor Misnik was Deputy Chief Engineer for New Projects with Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz.

Between 2001 and 2013 Viktor Misnik was Deputy CEO for Operations Support and Services with Open Joint Stock Company Servisnaya Burovaya Kompanaiya (Service Drilling Company) and CEO of OJSC YamalServisTsentr.

He started his working career in 1982 as a drilling rig assembly man with Noyabrskneftegaz. Between then and 2001 he held executive positions with Noyabrskneftegaz.

In 2011 Viktor Misnik was awarded the title of Merited Oil and Gas Worker of the Russian Federation.

Vadim Yakovlev, First Deputy CEO, Gazprom Neft said: “Gazpromneft-Vostok's long term-strategy has set an ambitious target of practically doubling its output within the next six years. Development of tight reserves remains one of the company's strategic goals, including Paleozoic rock, the introduction of new efficient recovery technologies and the establishment of Competences Center which will focus on fissured reservoirs which could subsequently be used by other Gazprom Neft enterprises.
