OREANDA-NEWS. Goppel Bus GmbH (a subsidiary of the Kirov Group) presented a family of go4city city buses at the Busworld Kortrijk 2013 exhibition in Belgium.

Kirovsky Zavod presented guests and participants of the specialized event with the new Goppel go4city19 articulated bus and the Goppel go4city12 three-door city bus. Visitors to the stand inspected the vehicles and received professional consultations from plant staff on the bus' specifications as well as the terms and conditions of their purchase.

Participants of Busworld Kortrijk 2013 showed great interest in the new Goppel Bus models, and future plans for increases in development and production capacities as expanding its product line in preparation of entrance in the Russian market. Georgy Semenenko, General Director of the Kirov Group, discussed the activities of Goppel Bus GmbH's development center with potential customers, as well as its plans to create new models of energy-efficient transport. Mr. Semenenko stressed that the company has already completed the process of transition to the most recent Euro-6 standard and is now working on creating electricity-driven city buses.

Georgy Semenenko also told the audience that Kirovsky Zavod has plans to introduce the Goppel bus to the Russian market. The bus runs on condensed natural gas. The plant also intends to continue with localization of the go4city family of buses in St. Petersburg. Kirovsky Zavod has been working on finding a site for a new facility on its grounds.

The Busworld Kortrijk exhibition is one of the most renowned exhibition forums involving the design and manufacture of all types and models of buses. Held biennially, the exhibition brings together representatives of leading manufacturing companies, transportation companies, financial establishments, investment, leasing and insurance companies.
