OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2013. A new pressurized air dehydration unit produced by the Italian OMI company has been installed at Sulfuric Acid Section of the Refinery Workshop.

Pressurized air is used in sulfuric acid production to feed controls and instrumentation devices. The replaced dehydration unit has outlasted its service life resulting in humid air supplied to controls and instrumentation and consequently to wrong measurements being registered by the devices, which required that the workshop staff operate in manual mode and damaged the sulfuric acid production process indicators and the quality of the finished products.

The newly commissioned equipment fully restored normal operation. As opposed to the replaced dehydration unit, the new Italian machine requires less power and has low maintenance and repair costs.
