OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2013. The board of directors of Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) increased the regular quarterly cash dividend on Nucor's common stock to USD0.37. 

This cash dividend is payable on February 11, 2014, to stockholders of record on December 31, 2013, and is Nucor's 163rd consecutive quarterly cash dividend.

Nucor has increased its regular, or base, dividend for more than 40 consecutive years – every year since it first began paying dividends in 1973.  Reflecting the Nucor team's success in building Nucor's long-term earnings power, the base quarterly dividend has more than tripled since the end of 2007.  In addition, over the period from 2000 to 2013, Nucor's base dividend has increased approximately ten-fold.

Nucor and affiliates are manufacturers of steel products, with operating facilities primarily in the U.S. and Canada. Products produced include carbon and alloy steel – in bars, beams, sheet and plate; steel piling; steel joists and joist girders; steel deck; fabricated concrete reinforcing steel; cold finished steel; steel fasteners; metal building systems; steel grating and expanded metal; and wire and wire mesh. Nucor, through The David J. Joseph Company, also brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron and HBI/DRI; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap.
