OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2013. Joint Stock Company "United Aircraft Corporation" (MOEX: UNAC), Russian national aircraft manufacture, announces consolidated backlog data based on management accounting as of September 30, 2013.

By the end of Q3 2013 Corporation’s backlog increased by more than 27% compared to 30 June 2013.

The main share of the backlog (72.8%) were orders for aircraft construction and/or sale, the growth of which was more than RUB 186 bln.

Moreover, due largely to new three-year agreement with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation for aircraft maintenance the line "Modernization, maintenance and overhaul of aircraft services, R&D" of backlog increased by 62%.

Civil aircraft backlog had recorded significant growth - more than 37%, which allowed the segment exceed 40% of Corporation’s total backlog. The increase of civil backlog by RUB148 bln was mainly due to contracts on the most modern Corporation’s jets - MS-21 and SSJ 100: Corporation got new firm orders for 69 aircraft of such type.

"The backlog provides a stable development of the Corporation in the medium term. Significant growth in civil aircraft segment reflects the strategic objectives of JSC "UAC" to increase the proportion of passenger aircraft sales in the total consolidated revenue of the Corporation", - the Vice President for Economics and Finance of JSC "UAC" Vladimir Chirikov said.
