Ukraine Ratifies Agreement on Air Communication with Great Britain
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2013. "The Government continues to implement a coherent policy to liberalize air connection between Ukraine and the countries of Europe and the world. Ratification of Agreement with the United Kingdom will open for Ukrainian airlines new opportunities for the implementation of operations in one of the most important and interesting of the EU and for our passengers will create conditions for a more broad and free choice of airlines, increasing flight safety and service levels, reduce the price of this trip," Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul said.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the adoption of the draft Law of Ukraine "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning air services." The Regulations signed on November 21, 2011, will be submitted for ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
" The Government conducts systematic work to improve safety for the development of the aviation industry, implementation of modern navigation systems on the market of Ukraine to attract new low-cost companies and the development of aviation infrastructure. On November 28, in Vilnius at the summit of the Eastern Partnership the Agreement was initialed between the EU by its Member States and Ukraine on a Common Aviation Area. Ukraine's accession to the Common Aviation Area actually creates additional opportunities for opening new flights to destinations both for Ukrainian and foreign airlines," Olexandr Vilkul said.
He noted from the beginning of summer navigation of 2015, any European airline can fly to any Ukrainian airport, as well as Ukrainian Airlines will fly to any European airport.
This autumn, there was another very important event – due to the modernization of the aviation sector, Ukraine has received the first category of security of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Ukrainian air carriers will extend its route to the U.S.A. Thanks to the first category and simplified flights to Canada, Australia and Japan.
Olexandr Vilkul also noted that an important part of the aviation industry is to attract low-cost companies.
