OREANDA-NEWS. Mikhailovsky GOK (part of Metalloinvest) confirmed compliance of its integrated management systems with international standards of quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection. TUV SUD Management Service GmbH (Germany) conducted the audit between 9 and 11 December 2013.

Once again, Mikhailovsky GOK successfully passed an external audit, which included the review of the quality management system (QMS) for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 international standard; of the occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) for compliance with OHSAS 1800:2007 international standard; and environmental management system (EMS) for compliance with ISO 14001:2004 international standard.

The audits were performed by the team from TUV SUD Management Service GmbH headed by Ulrich Krause, lead auditor. Mikhailovsky GOK has cooperated with this company for eight years. During the inspection, representatives of the auditor visited the plant's production facilities and administration office. As a result of the audit, compliance with international standards was confirmed, no deviations were detected or comments made.

Summarising the audit's results, Ulrich Krause noted the in-depth understanding of management systems' objectives at Mikhailovsky GOK, high qualifications of the plant's employees, a good level of production processes organisation, as well as positive results achieved in health and safety and environmental protection.
