OREANDA-NEWS. The Walmart Foundation’s California State Giving Program has awarded USD 54,800 to two Sacramento nonprofits including Women’s Empowerment and Senior Gleaners, Inc.
“Walmart is a prime example of a responsible corporate citizen giving back to the communities they serve,” said Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters. “Their donations to Senior Gleaners and Women’s Empowerment show their continued investment in and support of the greater Sacramento community.”

Twice a year, the Walmart Foundation’s California State Giving Program awards grants to local organizations that address the needs of the communities they serve and make a significant social impact.

“We are proud to support Women’s Empowerment and Senior Gleaners to help achieve our shared goal to help communities throughout California live better,” said Kim Sentovich, senior vice president for Walmart. “Walmart strongly believes in giving back locally and we look forward to watching these great organizations continue their work and find new ways to positively impact lives.”
