Dmitry Livanov, Minister of education and science, comments:

“Ural Federal University is one of the leaders of Russian education; it actively develops and participates in major development programs. Students received a big gift today. Dormitory is a second home for them, a place where new ideas are transferred into new projects. This is a great building and a great project, a true landmark for the city. The university should continue its growth to attract the most talented and motivated students from Russia and abroad”.

Viktor Koksharov, Rector of Ural Federal University, comments:

“The decision to construct a new dormitory was a necessity to us as most dormitories in Yekaterinburg appeared in 1930s -  they no longer satisfy comfort and safety requirements. Students of our university which is the academic and innovation centre of the region are ready to host a modern dormitory. It is important that the new building will be available for students of all the institutes within Ural Federal University. We are grateful to all the companies involved in design and construction of the dormitory, especially to LSR Group as general contractor  and regional and national authorities as this is the first projectof the federal target programme. We wouldn’t have such a success without support from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Governor of Sverdlovsk region and regional authorities. In future we plan to  continue our participation in construction of new modern buildings for our university".

Kliment Falaleev, Managing director of LSR Group in Urals region, comments:

“Architectural concept of the building was developed by the specialists of our company. When making the project, we tried to pay attention to details and create best conditions for  students’ living and study. The building was constructed by LSR Group house-building factory using one of the latest technologies in housing construction - energy-efficient facade fit-out technology which gives the building an appealing exterior thus providing comfortable microclimate inside – warm in winter and cool in summer”.
