OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2013. During the official launch of the brand, the bureau director Dumitru Munteanu told that this logo will help to increase exports of bottled wine by 50 million bottles.

At the same time, the prices will grow by 15 %. Dumitru Munteanu also added that there will be no price change at the national market and the consumption will double.

As it was noted by the manager of the wine industry project USAID CEED II Diana Lazar, this logo can be used only by those winemakers, which products meet certain conditions. According to her, only one third of Moldovan wine producers complies with these conditions and can use this brand.

In March 2014, Vin Moldova will be launched at the international wine exhibition ProWine in Germany and in April it will be released to the markets of Ukraine and Poland, which, according to representative of the Dutch Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) Mark Tigelman, will help to promote this brand abroad.

Vin Moldova brand was created with the support of USAID "Competitiveness Enhancement and Enterprise Development II" (CEED II), with 5-year budget amounting to USD 9.15 million. The brand was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova and Moldavian winemakers.
