Aeroflot was recognized as a company with the most active innovations of the year in the Transport and Engineering category according to the experts of an independent award "Time of Innovation 2013". The award ceremony celebrating achievements in the field of innovation was held today in President Hotel.

Time of Innovation award was inaugurated by Social Projects and Programs foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media. The main goal of the award is to identify and motivate projects and practices promoting and implementing innovative technologies. Competitive selection was carried out in two stages; the final decision on awarding the laureate title was made by the Expert Council.

Aeroflot received the award for its innovative development program considering a system of measures and basic mechanisms of their implementation as a potential opportunity to overcome barriers and constraints helping to optimize innovation processes both on corporate and industry level.

Aeroflot reached a new level of ensuring transportation, maintenance and preparation of aircrafts, of monitoring and preventing adverse weather factors on the run-up and check-in processes, on-board services etc. All this is the result of implementing measures aimed at introducing technological, managerial and organizational innovation; of cooperation with universities, research organizations and small and medium-sized businesses in the field of research and development, and of procurement of hardware and innovative solutions in the field of aviation activities.
