OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT group is continually modernizing its plants with the aim of increasing the quality of its produce, reducing its energy consumption and improving its environmental friendliness. In 2013, the group invested more than 257 million rubles in Maltsovsky Portlandcement. A range of major projects were completed using these funds.

In the spring of 2013, a new bag filter made by the CIPRIS FILTR BRNO s.r.o. (the Czech Republic) firm was put into operation in the plant in the cooling compartment of rotary furnace No.7. The cost of completing this project came to 24.5 million rubles. In 2013, Maltsovsky Portlandcement invested around 20 million rubles in the development of the design and installation of bag filters at the loading terminals of cement mills Nos.11-16. By completing these projects, the plant met its deadline for fully completing its plan of measures to increase the environmental friendliness of its production, as agreed with the Administrations of Rostekhnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor for the Bryansk region, and confirmed by the Bryansk region administration in 2012.

In December 2013, work was completed at the plant to install a clinker input/output unit mounted on equipment by AUMUND (Germany) with input feed apparatus made by the SAMSON (Germany) firm. The cost of completing the project came to more than 27 million rubles. The project allows us to significantly increase the efficiency of clinker output from the depot and plant No.1 to the cement milling department.

In 2013, more than 39 million rubles were invested in purchasing new automotive equipment. Maltsovsky Portlandcement's truck fleet was enhanced by two Caterpillar haul trucks, one KamAZ dump truck and one hydraulic elevated work platform on a GAZ automotive base. It's worth noting that the Caterpillar haul trucks possess increased off-road capabilities and can be used in all weathers.

In September 2013, the rail transport department accepted a new TEM-18 shunting locomotive into service, worth approximately 45 million rubles. The new locomotive was made by the Bryansk mechanical engineering factory and is used for the delivery and removal of railroad cars at the Fokino railway station. A full range of design features in this locomotive ensure a reduction in diesel fuel costs and servicing and repair costs. The locomotive is equipped with a special hardware and software system, which keeps a permanent record of its working parameters and of its diesel fuel consumption recorded on removable media.

Around 6 million rubles were invested in the completion of a project to install satellite monitoring systems on the company's remaining locomotives. These systems provide a means to obtain information about the route of transportation assets in real time and with full telemetry data: the location, distance traveled, speed, state of regular sensors, actual expenditure of fuel, etc. The technology provides a means of reducing petroleum expenses and ensures uninterrupted control over rolling stock and its technical characteristics, which has a positive effect on the long-term operational lifespan of vehicles and allows logistics to be optimized.

More than 9 million rubles were invested by Maltsovsky Portlandcement in the laying of a 280 meter section of a high-pressure underground gas pipeline at the factory, which will be brought into operation in the spring of this year.

It's worth nothing that the total amount of investments in the plant over the last 4 years exceeded 782 million rubles.
