OREANDA-NEWS. The Belgorodskiy Cement plant, part of EUROCEMENT group, continued to provide charitable aid in 2013 to various organizations and institutions in the Belgorod region. Charitable and sponsorship initiatives are an important part of the plant's activities.

The plant provided financial assistance to the Foundation for Supporting Innovative Urban Development in the reconstruction of a section of road from Michurina street to the mining department.

Belgorodskiy Cement also provided financial support to the union body of the Belgorod region's administration to help organize and hold the 9th Belgorod Construction Forum and the 10th Inter-regional Specialist Trade Show “A Modern City. The Construction Industry in 2013”.

As part of the forum, conferences were organized to discuss questions currently relevant to the development of the region's building industry, in addition to the traditional honoring of the veterans of building organizations, road industry organizations, and building material manufacturing plants. Towards the end of the celebration, a triumphant assembly was held within the walls of the Belgorod State Philharmonic, with the participation of the Governor of the region Evgeny Savchenko.

In 2013, Belgorodskiy Cement provided financial aid to one of their key partners - Training College No. 4 of Belgorod - in carrying out repair works on their working premises, in addition to yearly repairs in connection with preparations for the new educational year. The college trains specialists for the plant, such as rotary and shaft furnace machinists (burners), raw material mills machinists, manual arc welding technicians and a range of others. Every year, participants of the college receive work experience at Belgorodskiy Cement and other plants of the group.

Belgorodskiy Cement is also far from indifferent to the needs of people in difficult situations. In particular, it provided charitable aid in the form of cement for completing the construction of a home for a family with many children.
