OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2014. These means will be directed on the repair of the following sections: Chisinau-Ungheni-Sculeni, Chisinau-Giurgiulesti and a section of the bypass road in Ungheni.

According to the published tender results, the right to work is won by the companies Evrascon (Azerbaijan), OHL ZS (Czech Republic) and PA & CO International (Romania). As it was stated by the Minister of transport and road infrastructure Vasilie Botnari during the press conference, all the documents were submitted 23 companies, 19 of which were admitted to the contest. Azerbaijani company Evrascon will repair approximately 17.6 km of road Chisinau-Ungheni-Sculeni and will extend it to four lanes.

The contract cost is about 23.1 million euros. Another part of the same route will be restored by Czech OHL ZS (27 million euros). The company will build a bypass of 8-kilometer track in Ungheni (10.7 million euros). Repair of 31.2 km of the route Chisinau-Giurgiulesti (18,8 million euros) will be made by the Romanian company PA&CO. Vasilie Botnari said that term of performance of all works on each contract is 24 months.
