OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2014. Han Gensheng, Vice President of Sinochem Group, was invited to attend the “CPCIF-ICCA CEO Forum” organized by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Economic Globalization Promotes the Development of Chinese Multinationals”.

In the speech, Han aired his opinion on the connotation of globalization strategy and Chinese enterprises’ strategy of “going out”, objectively analyzed the gap between Chinese enterprises and overseas multinationals in terms of internationalized operation, and suggested that Chinese enterprises should cultivate international competitiveness and take more active participation in international competition from the perspectives of business strategy, corporate organization efficiency, cultural fusion, risk control and talent team.

Besides, Han met with Andrew Liveris, Chairman and CEO of the U.S.-based Dow Chemical Company during the forum. The two sides reviewed the close cooperation in fields like chemical fertilizer, seed and petrochemical in recent years. Han expressed the wish to constantly deepen and widen cooperation and tap potential to achieve win-win development. Liveris said Dow Chemical attached great importance to the cooperation with Sinochem Group, adding the longstanding cooperation had made clear the mutual firm commitments of the two sides to each other and demonstrated the value of cooperation would be further enhanced in the future. Zhang Xuegong, Assistant President of Sinochem Group and General Manager of China National Seed Group Co., Ltd., and Wang Hongjun, CEO of Sinofert Holdings Limited were present at the forum.
