OREANDA-NEWS. UniCredit Bank clients from the Crimea can use their funds anywhere in the mainland of Ukraine. In addition, the transfer of funds through online banking is preserved.

Taking into account the inability to continue work on the peninsula, the bank was forced to cancel the deposit agreements of Crimean customers on April 17. All funds, including the amount of the deposit and interests, were transferred to the current accounts, including card ones. The customers, whose deposits were transferred to the current card account, can use it today already. The clients, who do not have the card, can get their deposits through a special "U-card", issued instantly when visiting the most convenient branch in Ukraine. When reissuing a deposit for a new term UniCredit Bank offers a loyalty program of +1.5 % for UAH deposits.

It is worth emphasizing that UniCredit Bank does not block Crimean customers' cards, and they will still be served until the expiration date.

The following limits were set for the existing Crimean cards covering the whole territory of Ukraine:

Cash withdrawals, regardless of the ATM - 1000 UAH/day

Cashless payments in retail network - 5000 UAH/day

Cashless transfers between UniCredit Bank cards - 5000 UAH/day

Cashless transfers via ATMs/kiosks/sms banking system; between payment cards in national currency and payment cards of foreign banks - 5000 UAH/day.

To remind, from April 15, 2014 UniCredit Bank was forced to suspend operations and close all branches in the Crimea. The bank, which operates under the laws of Ukraine, no longer has a legal basis for the operation and provision of banking services in the region.
