OREANDA-NEWS. OOO KAMAZ-Marco, OJSC KAMAZ’s and Brazilian concern Marcopolo’s joint venture, received an order for delivery of Bravis city buses to Belgorod Oblast.

The first ten small-class buses are already running along city routes of Belgorod. The demand of Belgorod Oblast for small-class Bravis buses will be satisfied till the second quarter of 2015. This is the first large order for KAMAZ-Marco.

The company is currently negotiating with OAO BashAvtoTrans about delivery of 30 buses, discussing opportunities of cooperation with Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov and Tula Oblasts, and also Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais and the Republic of Mordovia. In all, the company plans to produce and sell 300 buses in 2014.

According to Roman Mugerman, Director General of KAMAZ-Marco, customers are highly interested in the company’s products, “Regions see a high wear rate of passenger transport today. If we work with large corporate clients actively, chances of our Bravis bus to win the market will be very high. Our company will soon participate in the 7th International Show World of Buses where we will present two small-class Bravis buses of suburban and urban types. And the Bravis city bus will be equipped with a gas engine running on methane.”
Buses produced by KAMAZ-Marco meet all modern international standards. They are built on the basis of a KAMAZ-3297 chassis and a Brazilian anti-rust body made of galvanized steel and aluminum. Bravis is an 8-meter bus with 20 seats meant for transportation of up to 50 passengers. The Euro 4 model consists of components by the world’s largest producers: a Cummins engine, a ZF gearbox, a Daimler axle, a Knorr-Bremse brake system. The new original product has already been certified according to laws of the Russian Federation.
