OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2014. Within the framework of “North-West growth areas” Forum arranged by Expert North-West Journal, professionals of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT (the Energy Consulting Group) introduced a new approach to the spatial development of Saint-Petersburg from a point of view of spatial and economic zones.

As part of an annual research work focused on crucial investment projects of the North-West Federal District, Expert North-West Journal jointly with R&D University Higher School of Economics – Saint-Petersburg reviewed the 2013 investment year performance within the framework of “North-West growth areas” Forum. Held in Saint-Petersburg, the event has brought together leading experts of the region to discuss the research outcomes aimed at key areas of the North-West economy and the regional development.

The survey has investigated large-scaled and cutting-edge projects implemented as of the first quarter of 2014. The work was embodied in evaluation of social and economic effects from capital investments to the region, analysis of financial sources, and dependence on regional prosperity as well as incoming investment flows.

Within the framework of the event there was a set of round-table discussions attended by experts from St. Petersburg, the Leningrad and Vologda regions, the Udmurtian Republic and other regions, representatives of public companies and businesses. Such a company as BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT famous for its participation in the development of the Socio-Economic Strategy for St. Petersburg up to the year 2030 was invited to attend the Forum too.

Leonid Ivanovsky, Director of Management Consulting Practice in BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT, and Maxim Bezlepkin, a leading expert of Management Consulting Practice, attended a workshop with their presentation of a new approach to the spatial development of Saint-Petersburg from a point of view of spatial and economic zones – the best practices of the Company used for the Strategy-2030 development.

The Socio-Economic Development Strategy for St. Petersburg up to the year 2030 was drafted under auspices of the Committee for Economic Policy & Strategic Planning of the City. BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT was engaged in the project to create new approaches to the spatial development of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
