OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2014. RN-Aero, Rosneft subsidiary, won the tender for the right to refuel aircrafts of Aeroflot and its airline partners (Donavia, Rossiya Airlines) at the airport of Simferopol up to 10 January 2015.

Widening the geographical area of business is the priority line of RN-Aero activity.

Cooperation in the region of jet fuel supply between RN-Aero and Aeroflot started in 2009, when the companies awarded a contract for refueling aircrafts.

Currently, refueling of aircrafts of Aeroflot and its airline partners from resources of RN-Aero and its subsidiaries is carried out in 19 airports of the Russian Federation, including Sheremetyevo (Moscow), Koltsovo (Ekaterinburg), Knevichi (Vladivostok), Adler (Sochi), Yemelyanovo (Krasnoyarsk) and others.

Aeroflot is the largest airline of the Russian Federation, which operates its own regular passengers flights to 125 destinations in 52 countries (41 destinations in Russia). Aeroflot is the member of SkyTeam, second-largest airline alliance in the world.

Rosneft activity in jet fuel business is carried out by RN-Aero. In 2013, Rosneft became one of the leading companies on the Russian market by the volume of jet fuel sales, when delivered more than 3.2 million tons of fuel. Yet, volumes of aircraft fueling of airlines increased by 20% from 1.8 million tons to almost 2.2 million tons compared to 2012.

As of the current date Rosneft fuels aircrafts ‘in the wing’ at 27 airports at the territory of the Russian Federation. The Company also carries out operational control over fueling complexes at Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Sochi, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Rostov-on-Don, Abakan, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, and Vladivostok.
