Mr. AMK Sinha has been entrusted the additional charge of the post of Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Limited; the leading Indian Oil and Gas Company in the Fortune 'Global 500' listing. Mr. Sinha continues to discharge his function as Director, Planning and Business Development in IndianOil.

Mr. AMK Sinha has been heading Diversification and Integration forays of IndianOil. This vertical is engaged in expanding IndianOil's footprints in the fields of Exploration & Production, Petrochemicals, Natural Gas and Renewable / Clean Energy. Additionally, Mr. Sinha is also heading the Corporate Planning and Sustainability Development initiatives of IndianOil.

A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, Mr. Sinha has had an outstanding Marketing career and has succeeded in establishing IndianOil as a petrochemical major with sales touching almost 2 MMTPA. IndianOil's polymer business is now fully stabilized and the Petrochemical brand "Propel" has received wide acceptance in the market. The segment today boasts of investment to the tune of over Rs. 20000 crore and further expanding with several new projects at various stage of implementation.

During his 37 years of service with IndianOil, Mr. Sinha has served in the entire value chain of Petroleum Marketing. Mr. Sinha has been at the forefront of changing face of petroleum retailing in the country with customer focussed initiatives like Branding of products & retail outlets, loyalty programmes, retail automation & modernisation, convenience stores etc. He also succeeded in steering seamless merger of retail business of erstwhile IBP Co with that of IOCL. He is credited with conceptualising and rolling out low cost fuel retailing centres of IndianOil offering bouquet of products to serve the needs of rural India. Branded as Kisan Sewa Kendra (KSK). The model won him several awards including 'Most admired retailer of the year' in rural retailing.
