OREANDA-NEWS. Last week in Kyiv a President of the SE NNEGC “Energoatom” Yuriy O. Nedashkovsky and a President of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Westinghouse Yves Brachet during working meeting discussed extension of cooperation and implementation of current projects, including project of diversification of fuel supply for Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Particularly, presidents discussed the implementation of knowledge-intensive arrangements as a part of Complex consolidated safety upgrade program. It needs using new experimental data and experience others nuclear states, which are operated similar energy blocks like in Ukraine.

While meeting both sides highlighted the exchange of specialists, especially engineering staff, which will allow to scrutinize technologies of both companies.

Information: Westinghouse supplies fuel assemblies, for Ukrainian nuclear power plants as a part of the nuclear fuel supply diversification policy.

Cooperation SE NNEGC “Energoatom” and Westinghouse was launched as part of the intergovernmental agreement between USA and Ukraine since 2000 for qualification of nuclear fuel for Ukraine and was continued as a part of commercial contract since 2008.
