PetrЁ®leos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), through its subsidiary PDVSA Engineering & Construction, made an inspection visit to the southern 3 plot located in the Industrial Complex JosЁ¦ Antonio AnzoЁўtegui, in Barcelona, AnzoЁўtegui state, to check the progress of the project, design and construction of Naphtha Stripper Plant.

Fadi Kabboul, president of the subsidiary PDVSA Engineering & Construction, said "it is a work of great significance for Venezuela, the execution which was authorized by the Board of PDVSA will be completed in record time by the end of 2015; date when we will begin to receive and process the early production of heavy oil from fields located in Junin and Ayacucho areas of the Orinoco Oil Belt 'Hugo Chavez' ".

During the visit, there were also present Cruz Simoza, manager of the Enhancement Division in Industrial Complex Jose Antonio Anzoategui; Nicolino Mode, director of PDVSA Engineering and Construction; JosЁ¦ Humberto Gil, general manager of PDVSA Engineering & Construction and workers with direct responsibility for project execution.

Simoza manager of the Enhancement Division announced the formation of a task force dedicated to capture and training of personnel who will operate and maintain the new facility when it start functioning.

The construction project of the Naphtha Stripper Plant began five months ago with the signing of a contract between PDVSA Engineering & Construction and India's Essar Projects, responsible for the execution of professional services for the extended basic engineering, which will culminate in October, to begin the construction of this infrastructure that will recover naphtha associated with diluted crude from the early production of the Orinoco Oil Belt "Hugo Chavez".
