OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' broad money supply grew 4.1% month on month in September 2014 to 228.287 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 21.628 billion) as of October 1, 2014, Belarus' monetary authorities said in a report.

Of the total money supply, cash in circulation (M0 aggregate) reduced 3.6% in September 2014 to 14 trillion rubles (USD 1.315 billion). The share of M0 in broad money supply reduced to 6% as of October 1, 2014 from 6.36% as of January 1, 2014.

M1 aggregate, which includes cash and current Belarusian ruble deposits with banks, grew by 3.8% in September 2014 to 42.185 trillion rubles (USD 3.961bn) as of October 1, 2014. M1 aggregate accounted for 18.3% of the total money supply as of October 1, 2014, down from 19.19% as of January 1, 2014.

Ruble money supply (M2* aggregate), which includes M1 and fixed-period ruble securities outside bank circulation, was up 2.5% in September 2014 to 98.592 trillion rubles (USD 9.258 billion). Ruble money supply accounted for 42.8% of the broad money supply as of October 1, 2014, up from 41.7% as of January 1, 2014.

In 2013, broad money supply rose 19.8% to 193.307 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 18.428bn). Ruble money supply increased 15.5% in 2013 to Br79.331 trillion (USD 7.563bn).
