OREANDA-NEWS. A long-term strategic cooperation agreement was signed between OJSC Kazanorgsintez, Russian largest polyethylene producer, and BASF, a world's leading chemical company. In accordance with the terms of the agreement, BASF will supply antioxidants and stabilizers for polyethylene and polycarbonate to OJSC Kazanorgsintez, as well as provide technical support in HDPE production.

The document was signed by Director General of OJSC Kazanorgsintez Farid G. Minigulov and Head of BASF in Russia and CIS Sergey V. Andreev.

Both companies are going to be fully engaged in the implementation of joint projects aimed to extend branded product assortment of OJSC Kazanorgsintez and use the most modern decisions on stabilization. Prices for additives will be formed by formulas based on independent stock quotations that in its turn will ensure long-term transparency and stability of product prices.

The agreement will enable the companies to work in close cooperation, analyze processers' requirements and suggest appropriate decisions. Laboratory facilities of BASF engineering center will be used, if necessary.

The conclusion of this agreement will ensure the supply of quality European product from a direct producer immediately to OJSC Kazanorgsintez warehouse by the producer, as noted by Director General of OJSC Kazanorgsintez Farid G. Minigulov.

Our company is strategically interested in the development of polymer industry in Russia. Together with our partners we are ready to contribute to the creation of added value of products manufactured in Russia. Based on long-term experience we suggest modern decisions on stabilization depending on the application of processers' individual requirements. Our company also produces a range of progressive light stabilizers for polycarbonate, recognized by leading PC sheet producers and designated for protecting polymer articles at the highest level, as stressed by Head of BASF in Russia and CIS Sergey V. Andreev.
