OREANDA-NEWS. One of the largest auto dealers of St. Petersburg sued for bankruptcy. According to the materials on the website of the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, a statement from the "Autocentre Laura Kupcino" was filed on January 22nd, 2015 and it was not taken to production.

The Head of Marketing and Advertising of GC "Laura", Sergei Nowosielski, informed "RBK", a claim for bankruptcy of "Laura Kupcino" was a forced measure, which is associated with several factors - the depreciation of the ruble, reduced purchasing power and the position of the owner of the room at the Sofia street, who refused to adjust the rate of rent.

Earlier it was reported that GC closes the center (one of the four dealerships of group) due to financial difficulties. Area of car centre is 5 thousand square meters. Dealership was engaged, first of all, in sales and service of brands GM: Opel, Chevrolet and Cadillac, as well as brands SsangYong and Suzuki. In 2014, the company sold 7,700 cars and motorcycles.

Most of the staff that worked in it, wrote a letter of resignation on their own. "It will be offered for many employees or it was already offered jobs in other dealerships of group", - said Mr.Novoselsky. Speaking about the financial situation at the "Laura", he noted that all the debts of the company are secured by assets. According to Deputy Head of Legal Affairs of the State Labour Inspectorate in St. Petersburg, Olga Gazin, complaints were not received by the inspection from employees of "Laura Kupcino".

Group of companies "Laura" is working on the St. Petersburg car market from 1989 and it is the official dealer of Opel, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Renault, Hyundai, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, SsangYong, Lada, BMW, and manufacturer of armored vehicles. After the closing of the car centre in the Sofiiskaya street, the company still has four dealerships. There are sold brands Hyundai, Opel, Chevrolet, SsangYong, Renault and Harley-Davidson. GC also has 6 centers in Russia. Parent company of Group, "Laura", is owned by Yuri and Igor Shcherbakov (72.75% and 10.25%, respectively), as well as other top managers of the company.
