Since 2008 European countries have begun a gradual implementation of digital broadcasting using the new standards. We followed the same way. In 2011, it was decided to use DVB-T2 standard while deploying the second and third zones of coverage. Nowadays, a joint project of RUE Beltelecom and RUE Belarussian Broadcasting center on the implementation of commercial on –air broadcasting launched in October 2013 covers the area with more than 90% of the population of the country, the service is used by more than 88 thousand subscribers, and digital transmitters broadcasting commercial television programs are installed in 84 broadcasting transmitting centers. By the end of the year, the total number of digital transmitters is to be increased up to 89.

Access to digital terrestrial television broadcasting network gives an opportunity to connect to ZALA television in those areas, where previously there was no opportunity to view TV-channels due to the lack of technical feasibility.

Currently used wireless TV signal transmission technology allows viewing channels in digital quality even in the most remote areas of our country.
