OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2015. As part of the 5th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, a working meeting took place today between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Dusan Bajatovic, Director General of state-owned Srbijagas.

The meeting addressed Russian gas supplies to Serbia as well routes for its transmission.

Background

In 2014 Gazprom supplied Serbia with nearly 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

In 2013 the long-term contract was signed for Russian gas supply to Serbia in the amount of up to 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually for a period of 10 years.

The Banatski Dvor UGS facility in Serbia is essential for securing the stability of supplies to European countries. The UGS facility (Gazprom – 51 per cent, Srbijagas – 49 per cent) is one of the largest gas storages in Southeastern Europe. Its working gas capacity makes up 450 million cubic meters and maximum deliverability – 5 million cubic meters per day.
